We\u2019ve been quiet since June\u2014no newsletter, no blog post. That wasn\u2019t because we didn\u2019t have any news; on the contrary: we\u2019ve been building. Day after day, week after week, and often with your feedback in mind. Now the time has come: Gradido 3 is up and running, with more new features all at once than ever before. If you haven\u2019t logged into your account in a while, you\u2019ll discover a lot of new things.<\/p>

This time, we're focusing on what you can do starting today, and on an invitation that's good for your back. That's why this post is a little longer than usual.<\/p>

Three Ways Gradido Is Now Reaching People One by One<\/h2>

The big question all these years wasn't whether Gradido works. It was: How does it pass from one person to the next? Your Gradido account now offers three answers to that question, and all three are so simple that you can demonstrate them at the kitchen table (or anywhere else).<\/p>

Show it to your friends.<\/strong> When you open your account, you\u2019ll see a small box with exactly that heading right on the first page. One click, and your phone (or computer) will display a code. If you scan it with your camera, you\u2019ll have your own account in ten minutes; you can confirm it via email later that evening at home. No explanation needed\u2014just a table and two cell phones.<\/p>

Matching.<\/strong> That\u2019s the name of the section in your account, and behind it is a map. You enter, in simple sentences, what you love, what you offer, and what you\u2019re looking for, along with your location\u2014either exactly or approximately. Then the map shows you people near you who love what you love, who offer what you\u2019re looking for, and who are looking for what you offer. The brighter a star shines on the dark map, the better a match you are. And as of this week, every profile on this map has \u201eSay Hello\u201c underneath it: The greeting is already prewritten\u2014you change a word or two, tap the arrow, and the community sends it out. Whoever receives it replies with a single click. Two clicks, and two people who didn\u2019t know each other before are now talking to each other.<\/p>

A Message of Thanks.<\/strong> A thank-you for someone who doesn\u2019t have a Gradido account yet. You choose a picture and a line\u2014for example, \u201eJust because you\u2019re here\u201c\u2014and send the greeting as a link via email or messenger. When the recipient accepts it, the account is created automatically, and your message of thanks is the first thing in it. If the other person doesn\u2019t accept it, the Gradido points will be returned to you after fourteen days. Nothing is lost.<\/p>

On top of that, here\u2019s what you\u2019ve been wanting for a long time: a chat feature with groups, photos, and video calls; the thank-you card with a calculator for everyone who offers something; your printable business card; your profile picture; and the golden coin icon as an app on your home screen. We\u2019ll explain everything to you step by step. For today, we have one request: Log back into your account and see for yourself all the changes that have been made and how easy everything is to use.<\/p>

A story that continues week after week<\/h2>

We won\u2019t explain how it all fits together as a set of instructions, but rather as a story. It\u2019s called \u201eFreegaia\u2014The City Begins to Shine\u201c and begins at a kitchen table, just before midnight, with a single mother who has just been asked for the first time what good she has done. 23 episodes, one every Thursday. Below each episode are images showing where in the software you can find what you\u2019ve just read about. Every week, there\u2019s a small task you can try out for yourself.<\/p>

The Latest in Real Life: Jenna's Back Exercises with a Gradido Bonus<\/h2>

The best thing about the new Gradido is that it becomes a reality right away. Jenna from \u201eLebe Deine Seele\u201c helps people understand their body\u2019s signals before they become a chronic condition. Her approach is unusual: back exercises without any gymnastics, done while sitting or lying down, using the power of the mind. A lesson learned from elite athletes: Downhill skiers mentally run through their course before the start, turn by turn. Jenna uses exactly this principle for the back.<\/p>

The Free Short Workshop<\/h2>

On Wednesday, October 21, at 6 p.m., Jenna invites you to join a one-hour session focused on the lower back, online via Zoom. Guided exercises you can follow along with\u2014whether sitting or lying down\u2014a journey in your imagination to the ocean, and, at the end, an exercise you can do on your own anytime afterward, even in bed at night. No equipment, no prior experience required, and no one has to share anything personal.<\/p>
