Six conditions for peace

And why Gradido is the only model that touches every single one

Perhaps you are like us: you look at the many wars and conflicts in the world - and sometimes you feel powerless. You sincerely wish for a world in which your children and grandchildren grow up in peace. And yet you may ask yourself: What can I as an individual do against war and violence?

We know this feeling well - and that's exactly why we want to give you something to encourage you today.

Because there is a connection that hardly anyone talks about: Our monetary system and war are closely linked. Over thousands of years, debt-based monetary systems have repeatedly created incentives for armaments and conflict - money that arises from debt creates a silent pressure that even extends into wars. This is not the fault of individual people, but a characteristic of the structure in which we all live.

And therein lies the good news: if one structure can promote conflict, then another structure can promote peace.

What lasting peace is based on

Peace research has spent decades working out what a society needs for peace to be truly sustainable. Peace researcher Dieter Senghaas has described six mutually supportive conditions - from social justice and democratic co-determination to a culture in which conflicts are resolved without violence.

We asked ourselves: What is Gradido's position on these six conditions?

We have carefully examined this question in a new Academy paper - based on fifteen independent lines of research and in comparison with seven other reform approaches. We were moved by the results ourselves: Gradido touches all six conditions - is the only one of the compared approaches.

One thing is important to us: this is not a „Gradido is better than everyone else“. On the contrary - the core of the paper is the Connectivity. Gradido fits in with what many clever people have researched before us and combines their findings into a picture. It is a Invitation to work together, not the claim to know everything alone.

You will find it freely accessible

As with our concept study, we have also based this paper on Zenodo one of the most recognized archives for scientific papers, in which German and English language, freely accessible to all.

You can find it on our website in the main menu under Research → Academy papers:

You don't have to read it in one go - just look at the chapters that appeal to you and let yourself be inspired.

What you can do with it now

Perhaps you know people who are particularly concerned about peace - in peace initiatives, in churches, in academic or political circles. You now have something well-founded for precisely these discussions. Feel free to pass on the link or the PDF.

Imagine that each and every one of you carries this one thought to one or two people who do not yet know it: that peace is not only a question of good will, but also a question of how we organize our money and our economy. In this way, step by step, the idea of a world of peace, freedom and global prosperity is growing - in harmony with nature, for our children and all those who come after us.

This Peace Paper is the second in our series of Academy Papers - and more will follow. You can find them all on the same page.
