On the way to a world without money lies Gradido

„Gradido is the best opportunity I've found so far to take a big step forward on this path. And that's why I'm involved here!“
Stefan Nathan Lange

During my computer science studies in the Black Forest in the early 1980s, I made an important decision in my life: I want to contribute to a better world!

From the social threefold structure...

After my studies, I lived for eight years in an anthroposophically oriented community in Upper Swabia, a self-managed business. There, I gained my first insights into social threefolding and associative economics and got to know the GLS Gemeinschaftsbank and its co-founder Wilhelm-Ernst Barkhoff and his son Martin Barkhoff.

...about exchange systems...

In the 1990s, I became involved in the LETS exchange network in Munich and it became increasingly clear to me that our prosperity in the interest-bearing debt money system is always at the expense of the poorest people somewhere in the world - and ultimately at the expense of nature and the environment.

As part of the housing projects „Wohngemeinschaft auf Sozialer Basis (WGSB) e.V.“ and later at „WAGnis e.G.“ in Munich, I worked with others to develop concepts for a fair balance of values.

...and regional money...

In 2005 I moved to Chiemgau and got to know the Chiemgauer, which we also accepted in our organic café and guesthouse with seminar house and with which we were not only able to pay for our food at Ökoring, but also for the entire solar thermal system and the tiled stove with Chiemgauern.

I dealt with Wörgl, Sylvio Gesell, the Minuto and peer economics, invited Bernd Senf to join us, read „The Ubuntu Principle“.

...to Gradido

And finally I found out about Joytopia (now Gradido) and registered immediately!

When I walked from Chiemsee to Brussels in 2012, my flyer began with the words: „Although I am almost blind, I do not close my eyes to what is going wrong in the world!“.

It also contained a section:

„Imagine there's no more money!“...

But there is still a long way to go until then, and there still needs to be something like a balance of values before people understand that everything is taken care of if everyone does what they are good at and enjoy doing.

Gradido is the best opportunity I have found so far to take a big step forward on this path. And that's why I'm involved here!

warmest regards

Stefan Nathan
