We’ve been quiet since June—no newsletter, no blog post. That wasn’t because we didn’t have any news; on the contrary: we’ve been building. Day after day, week after week, and often with your feedback in mind. Now the time has come: Gradido 3 is up and running, with more new features all at once than ever before. If you haven’t logged into your account in a while, you’ll discover a lot of new things.
This time, we're focusing on what you can do starting today, and on an invitation that's good for your back. That's why this post is a little longer than usual.
Three Ways Gradido Is Now Reaching People One by One
The big question all these years wasn't whether Gradido works. It was: How does it pass from one person to the next? Your Gradido account now offers three answers to that question, and all three are so simple that you can demonstrate them at the kitchen table (or anywhere else).
Show it to your friends. When you open your account, you’ll see a small box with exactly that heading right on the first page. One click, and your phone (or computer) will display a code. If you scan it with your camera, you’ll have your own account in ten minutes; you can confirm it via email later that evening at home. No explanation needed—just a table and two cell phones.
Matching. That’s the name of the section in your account, and behind it is a map. You enter, in simple sentences, what you love, what you offer, and what you’re looking for, along with your location—either exactly or approximately. Then the map shows you people near you who love what you love, who offer what you’re looking for, and who are looking for what you offer. The brighter a star shines on the dark map, the better a match you are. And as of this week, every profile on this map has „Say Hello“ underneath it: The greeting is already prewritten—you change a word or two, tap the arrow, and the community sends it out. Whoever receives it replies with a single click. Two clicks, and two people who didn’t know each other before are now talking to each other.
A Message of Thanks. A thank-you for someone who doesn’t have a Gradido account yet. You choose a picture and a line—for example, „Just because you’re here“—and send the greeting as a link via email or messenger. When the recipient accepts it, the account is created automatically, and your message of thanks is the first thing in it. If the other person doesn’t accept it, the Gradido points will be returned to you after fourteen days. Nothing is lost.
On top of that, here’s what you’ve been wanting for a long time: a chat feature with groups, photos, and video calls; the thank-you card with a calculator for everyone who offers something; your printable business card; your profile picture; and the golden coin icon as an app on your home screen. We’ll explain everything to you step by step. For today, we have one request: Log back into your account and see for yourself all the changes that have been made and how easy everything is to use.

A story that continues week after week
We won’t explain how it all fits together as a set of instructions, but rather as a story. It’s called „Freegaia—The City Begins to Shine“ and begins at a kitchen table, just before midnight, with a single mother who has just been asked for the first time what good she has done. 23 episodes, one every Thursday. Below each episode are images showing where in the software you can find what you’ve just read about. Every week, there’s a small task you can try out for yourself.
The Latest in Real Life: Jenna's Back Exercises with a Gradido Bonus
The best thing about the new Gradido is that it becomes a reality right away. Jenna from „Lebe Deine Seele“ helps people understand their body’s signals before they become a chronic condition. Her approach is unusual: back exercises without any gymnastics, done while sitting or lying down, using the power of the mind. A lesson learned from elite athletes: Downhill skiers mentally run through their course before the start, turn by turn. Jenna uses exactly this principle for the back.
Both of us—Margret and Bernd—know firsthand what it's like to deal with back problems, just like so many of you: busy weeks, long evenings at the desk, and then your back starts to act up. That's why we're taking Jenna's class.
The Free Short Workshop
On Wednesday, October 21, at 6 p.m., Jenna invites you to join a one-hour session focused on the lower back, online via Zoom. Guided exercises you can follow along with—whether sitting or lying down—a journey in your imagination to the ocean, and, at the end, an exercise you can do on your own anytime afterward, even in bed at night. No equipment, no prior experience required, and no one has to share anything personal.
👉 Sign up for the workshop here — You'll receive the Zoom link via email the day before, but only if you've registered.
The Complete Course with the Gradido Bonus
If you’d like to take it further: „The Other Back Care Course“ is a live online course on Saturday, November 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and on the following Saturday, November 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Plus, four audio files to keep. Jenna has set aside five spots for our community with a Gradido bonus: Instead of 237 euros, you pay 47 euros, and for the rest, you show your appreciation with 190 Gradido.
👉 We sent the registration link with the Gradido bonus to our community in the newsletter. You can find all the details about the course at Jenna's Course Page.
The Gradido Bonus Is That Simple
This process will serve as a model for future collaborations:
- You book using the coupon link from the newsletter. The coupon code is already entered in the field, the price drops to 47 euros, and you pay as usual. The invoice will be sent by Digistore24 as usual.
- After that, thank Jenna with 190 Gradido. Open gdd.gradido.net/u/Jenna, tap „Send Gradido,“ enter the amount 190, and enter „Thank you for the other back training“ as the payment description.
- This expression of gratitude is voluntary. You can adjust it at any time, either up or down. We have a feeling that many of you are more generous than that number suggests.
When it comes to euros, everything is going exactly as it should. The gratitude is expressed exactly as Gradido intended. Jenna gets both, and you get a course that normally costs 237 euros for 47 euros—plus a thank-you for what you’ve done for others.
For your peace of mind: All sessions are available as recordings for seven days in case you miss a session, and you’ll receive a refund up to fourteen days after purchase if the course isn’t right for you. This course is not a substitute for medical treatment; if you have acute or unexplained symptoms, please have them evaluated by a doctor first. The voucher link is valid for five spots and expires on November 21.
How We All Benefit From It
If you do nothing, everything will stay the same. The world’s problems will remain—even those that Gradido can solve—and they won’t get any easier. Many of us feel this literally: as a burden on our backs that gets a little heavier every year.
Now imagine the opposite. People who help one another, give gifts, and express gratitude—first at the kitchen table, then in the neighborhood, and then throughout the entire city. A world worth living in—for us, our children, and all who come after them. And you right in the middle of it, with a back that feels free and light.
It's just two steps to get there, and you can take both of them today:
- Sign up for Jenna's workshop.
- Check your Gradido account again.
Warm autumn greetings
Yours
