II. Why the old system is not a system of love
In order to understand why Gradido represents an „economy of love“, one must first understand why the existing monetary system is the exact opposite - not out of malicious intent, but out of structural necessity.
Today's financial system is based on three mutually reinforcing principles:

In the Gradido model, money is not generated through debt, but as credit - for everyone. A total of 3,000 Gradido (GDD) is generated per person per month: one third as an active basic income, one third for the public budget and one third for a global equalization and environmental fund.

It is a set of rules that rewards certain behaviors and punishes others. And because competition, mistrust and accumulation are rewarded, it is precisely these behaviors that arise en masse - not because people are evil, but because they react to these anti-life rules.
Gradido is an invitation to introduce new rules of the game. Rules of the game in which cooperation, gratitude and care are the rational strategy - not the oblivious special case. In which dignity is not a merit, but a prerequisite. In which the cycle of life - becoming and passing away, giving and receiving - also forms the basis of economic activity.
Love is not the solution because it sounds nice. Love is the solution because it is the only force that makes people act for each other and for the earth in the long term. And Gradido is the proposal to no longer leave this force to the chance of individual virtue - but to build it into the architecture of money.
