Favorite city 3 - A family, a project and a city full of opportunities

" The Gradido project not only provides us with financial relief, but also great activities and opportunities that money couldn't afford."

Dear Reader,

It's a sunny Saturday morning in the new development area of Lieblingsstadt. The young Frank family is enjoying their breakfast together. The Franks, that is parents Kerstin and Jannik and their three children, Mia, Maximilian and little Luna. Max is at the training camp of the favorite city sports club this weekend, training for the youth basketball championship.

The family is closely connected and shares many common interests and passions. Jannik has a good job as a mechanical engineer. Kerstin is a talented graphic designer. Since the birth of Luna, she no longer practices her profession. Nevertheless, she wants to use her skills and helps various local associations by volunteering to create their websites and printed materials. She enjoys the volunteer work very much. However, Jannik's sole income is barely enough to support the family and pay off the house.

The Franks are a happy family, but they lack the financial scope for additional luxuries or for a babysitter to relieve Kerstin in her volunteer work. In this situation, Kerstin hears about an exciting new project called 'Gradido' that is just being introduced in Lieblingsstadt. The project remunerates volunteer work with so-called 'Gradido thank points'. Kerstin realizes that this is a great way to value her work and at the same time relieve the financial burden on her family. Jannik is also enthusiastic, because as a youth coach in the sports club he can also receive Gradidos for his volunteer work.

The Franks decide to learn more about the Gradido project and attend one of the regular Gradido cafés at the community center. There they meet other residents of Favorite City who are also compensated with Gradidos for their volunteer work.

Young and old come together there. The people are totally nice and friendly. Full of joy and enthusiasm, they talk to each other about what they have to offer and what they need. What one person needs, another can do. This leads to a lively exchange. A lively "market of opportunities" is created, where people do not pay with money, but compensate each other with Gradido.

They meet Monika, a former kindergarten teacher who enjoys being with children. Monika offers to take care of little Luna when Kerstin does her volunteer work. The family is grateful for Monika's help. This allows them to devote more time to their passions and volunteer activities again.

Max, the passionate basketball player, has a great idea. He suggests that the sports club's youth team carry out a forest clean-up campaign to give something back to nature. The idea is enthusiastically received by the team. For the gradidos they receive in return, they get all kinds of support for their team activities and the expansion of their sports home.

Mia, the musical daughter of the family, meets Martin, a retired music teacher. Martin offers her saxophone lessons for Gradido. Mia is excited about the opportunity to learn from an experienced musician and to develop her musical potential.

The Frank family recognizes that the Gradido project not only provides them with financial relief, but also great activities and opportunities that money could not afford. Volunteering and working with other fellow citizens strengthens the sense of community and connection within and outside the family.

With the Gradido thank points, Kerstin and Jannik can support their family, pursue their passions and encourage their children in their interests. They are grateful for this new perspective, which allows them to live their lives with joy and fulfillment.

Franks are aware that through the Gradido project they are not only improving their personal environment, but also being part of a positive change in favorite city.

This is now already the third contribution of our series "Gradido in Favorite City. Through inspiring stories, we learn how the Gradido model significantly improves people's quality of life, makes the city safer, and even saves businesses and the city hospital.

Feel free to forward this series to your city council, associations and business owners. Because if we don't take action now, the downward trend will continue, the economy will be driven to the wall, the middle class will be hollowed out, and communities will collapse under the burden of debt.

With Gradido, we have an effective tool for positive life design in our hands. Together, we transform our cities and communities into vibrant prosperous oases - our favorite places!

Love greetings

Yours
