Freegaia – The World Begins to Shine

Shortly before midnight, Alice is sitting at the kitchen table, her cell phone in her hand, crying. Bob has a hunch—and he doesn't like it. That's how the story begins, showing how Gradido spreads from person to person.

It's 12:30, and Bob reads Gradido's source code until 2:30. He's looking for the part where something calls home. On Saturday, Carla comes over with a cake and leaves with an account, and Bob finds Fred.

On Sunday, Carla rings the doorbell at Emma’s house; Emma is seventy-five and hardly ever leaves the house anymore. There’s a cake on the kitchen table, and an iPad is lying next to it. Half a minute after saving the file, Emma takes off her glasses.
