Gradido Academy calls for 'Great Cooperation' for children's rights

Every 6th child thinks about suicide

Künzelsau, 13.04.2021 - Corona policies threaten not only healthy development and education, but also the lives of our children. More and more teenagers and even children think of suicide to escape isolation, excessive demands, existential fear or domestic violence. The trend in lockdown mode: steadily increasing! Schools, youth welfare offices and families have long been unable to adequately protect the 'best interests of the child' under current conditions. In education and family policy, the urgently needed course correction is still nowhere in sight. This Lockdown of the child and youth rights calls also the Wirtschaftsbioniker of the Gradido academy on the plan. Deeply concerned, they call for a reform of crisis management. Interdisciplinary cooperation should succeed in restoring security, confidence and perspective to future generations.

Children and young people suffer more and more

In February, the Hamburg University Medical Center Eppendorf (UKE) presented the second part of its COPSY study. The clear result: children and adolescents are suffering more and more from the current situation. Not only their quality of life, but also the mental health of young people has increasingly deteriorated in the course of the Corona crisis. The study "Being a Child in Times of Corona" of the German Youth Institute (DJI) in Munich as well as the current studies of the University of Hildesheim come to similar conclusions. Especially in families with a difficult financial situation, children complained of massive emotional and psychological problems.

Children develop suicidal thoughts

A study by Danube University Krems in cooperation with the Medical University of Vienna also reveals alarming results on the mental health of schoolchildren: the COVID 19 crisis has multiplied the mental problems of young people. 16 percent of students have suicidal thoughts, which is a good one in six. In addition, more than half suffer from depressive symptoms.

Anxieties, compulsions and depressions

The documentary "Lockdown Children's Rights" by Patricia Marchart and Judith Raunig, which is well worth seeing, sensitively and emphatically shows the loneliness and psychological stress, even traumatisation, of children and young people in lockdown, with fatal long-term consequences.

Where's all the life gone?

The business bionics experts at Gradido Academy are alarmed. "The dramatic situation of children and adolescents is currently one of the focal points of our research. Ultimately, they have been deprived of everything that is indispensable for healthy development: Closeness, curiosity, community, the lively exchange, the light-heartedness and the right to exuberance", states Margret Baier, the owner of the academy.

The measures harm the children much more than Corona

Prof. Dr. Andreas Sönnichsen, the long-standing chairman of the Network for Evidence-Based Medicine e. V. also warns: "The measures for children do much more damage than Corona". Pediatricians and adolescent physicians from a wide range of disciplines fear permanent psychological and psychosomatic damage. Noted neurobiologist Gerald Hüther speculates, "We will, when it's all over then, have to ask a lot of forgiveness from our children for what we've done to them."

Business bionics experts want a network for a better future

"Continuing to watch in silence is not an option," concludes Bernd Hückstädt, co-founder of the Gradido Academy. "We cannot leave the solution to these serious problems to the teachers or the parents, most of whom have long since run out of steam themselves," clarifies the business bionic. "We don't have a patent remedy for Corona politics, but we see the fundamental flaws in our social system abundantly clear, especially in this crisis. The financial (over)burden on families, the unequal educational opportunities, the lack of social solidarity and the increasingly fierce competition already in childhood do not exist only since Corona. It is only now that we are feeling the consequences of this undesirable development so particularly painfully. So it is necessary to finally enter into interdisciplinary exchange in order to define a new framework for our future life. We invite to discuss, optimize and implement our 'Gradido Model', which we have developed over the past 20 years following nature's models of success, in a 'Great Cooperation'."

Gradido model improves life and development opportunities

At the heart of the 'Gradido model' around the common good currency of the same name is the securing of livelihoods and the creation of optimal opportunities for development. With the help of an 'active basic income', existential fears could become a thing of the past. In many families, peace and confidence would finally return. Within the framework of 'Unconditional Participation', inclinations and talents could be discovered and developed in the best possible way at any age, regardless of one's own previous education. Furthermore, cooperation and community would be strengthened and promoted. The 'Triple Good' as the basis of money creation would also open up completely new possibilities for health care, nature conservation and explicitly also for the education system. Thanks to the abandonment of the debt-money principle, the legacy of gigantic mountains of debt for future generations would finally be history. "With the peaceful transformation to a system based on togetherness and togetherness, we can give young and old people, who are still frightened and desperate today, a perspective for a fulfilled and healthy life," says Margret Baier. Bernd Hückstädt adds: "And as a cooperating human family, solve the current and future challenges of this world together."

About the Gradido Academy
The Gradido Academy for Economic Bionics has developed an alternative 'common good currency' based on the models of nature. Nature follows the rule that only where something passes away can something new emerge, and thus long-term improvement (evolution) is possible. Its recipe for success is the 'cycle of life'. If our economy were also to follow this natural cycle, then, according to the assessment of the bionic economists, practically all the world's monetary problems could be solved. The Gradido model is based on the idea that not only every person, but also every state receives income generated on a credit basis. It can thus fulfil all its tasks without having to collect taxes. Deflation or inflation are a thing of the past. The economy is freed from the constant compulsion to grow, the danger of a collapse of the financial system is finally averted.(www.gradido.net)
