For a better working world
Künzelsau,11.03.2021 - For millions of people, worries about their jobs cause barely controllable anxiety. They long for a return to their old life with its supposed security and predictability. But is that really desirable? Since German workers were already considered 'frustration champions' before the crisis, we could certainly use the current state of emergency as a research laboratory for a better working world. The business bionics experts at the Gradido Academy and the well-known Swiss professor of international management, 'pattern breaker' Prof. Hans Wüthrich, have already begun to do so.
A Danish study on global employee satisfaction already proved in 2020 that people in no country in the world go to work as listlessly as in Germany. This comes as no surprise to the co-founder of the Gradido Academy for Business Bionics, Bernd Hückstädt, or the management researcher Prof. Hans Wüthrich. Both see an urgent need to reform the management culture and the financial system - not only in this country.
Employees with entitlement
According to recent studies, neither fast promotion opportunities nor an above-average salary are the decisive criteria for choosing a future employer. Rather, both students and employees are united by the desire to play a positive role in shaping the future. This trend is also confirmed by Prof. Wüthrich: "For many people today, it is no longer enough to simply receive a salary for their work performance. Not only young people, but people in general want to change the world for the better, protect the environment and its natural resources, and do something meaningful. To me, this means that organizations need to focus much more on the why, that is, legitimize the reason for existence. They must have answers to the question: What is our positive contribution to a better world? Who benefits in what way from the success of our entrepreneurial activities? In the future, organizations will increasingly have to offer living spaces in which employees can develop further and unfold their potential."
Corona crisis as a laboratory of possibilities for the future
According to Prof. Wüthrich, the fact that many organisations are forced to take completely new paths during the crisis creates a 'real possibility laboratory for the future'. "All these unplanned experiments offer a unique opportunity to liberate precisely also the leadership culture from unsuitable prejudices, dogmas and taboos and to develop it intelligently." Following the principle of "reflection instead of reflex", the management expert appeals to managers to take the time to analyse more closely the observations provoked by the Corona measures, which are very interesting in terms of organisational culture, despite the understandable desire to return to pre-Corona normality as quickly as possible. "And we should perhaps also turn utopias into reality, draw our own conclusions and consciously decide which of the experiences and insights gathered in Corona shock mode are to be transferred to the future world of work as the new normal."
Time for a new economic system
The economic bionics researchers at the Gradido Academy have already developed a concept for a better working and living world. In more than two decades, the researchers around the Gradido Common Good Currency (GDD) have been able to design an economic and financial system that will not only completely change the world of work. Hückstädt, who co-founded the academy, says: "The time for transformation has never been better. The Corona Crisis is a real laboratory - even if we have entered it involuntarily. The old normality will no longer exist, but instead a very different diversity. With a new economic, financial, and monetary system, we are creating entirely new opportunities to evolve and develop."
New script for the executive suite?
Most managers still lack the confidence and experience in dealing with the collective intelligence of their employees. According to Prof. Wüthrich, potential is therefore currently being destroyed rather than developed "and the opportunity is being missed to be able to implement better solutions and a higher quality of problem solutions through the participation of many. The most important approaches for a successful future corporate culture would be to trust in the competence and judgement of the employees and to focus on their potential development.
With Gradido potential development is program
In the Gradido model, the best possible promotion of one's own talents is quasi system-immanent. It is considered the core of 'Unconditional Participation', which is offered to every person as a contribution to an 'Active Basic Income'. Hückstädt explains: "If our model catches on, the development of potential will become one of the central themes of life. It is crucial that we can achieve with Gradido that every person is provided for. As long as I have to fight for my existence with pressure and have to accept virtually every job to ensure my survival, there is not much left for the development of potential. Ultimately, however, this is the key to a fulfilled life and the greatest possible success of the whole community. That's why in the Gradido model, everyone can receive an 'Active Basic Income'."
Breaking the vicious circle of existential fear and competition
Gradido creates another indispensable prerequisite for a fulfilled coexistence with the abolition of the "debt-money principle". Hückstädt says: "As long as the credit of one is the debt of the other, we humans cannot live together in peace. The money creation of the Gradido for each individual human being however creates the basis for a joyful and lustful living together. According to the motto "cooperation instead of competition" we will be able to use synergies and develop solidarity."
In this sense Bernd Hückstädt and the owner of the Gradido Academy, Margret Baier, invite like-minded people and friends of a better (working) world to exchange and cooperate.

About the Gradido Academy
The Gradido Academy for Economic Bionics has developed an alternative 'common good currency' based on the models of nature. Nature follows the rule that only where something passes away can something new emerge, and thus long-term improvement (evolution) is possible. Its recipe for success is the 'cycle of life'. If our economy were also to follow this natural cycle, then, according to the assessment of the bionic economists, practically all the world's monetary problems could be solved. The Gradido model is based on the idea that not only every person, but also every state receives income generated on a credit basis. It can thus fulfil all its tasks without having to collect taxes. Deflation or inflation are a thing of the past. The economy is freed from the constant compulsion to grow, the danger of a collapse of the financial system is finally averted.(www.gradido.net)
